Adult Mentor's Role:
The role of the adult mentor is crucial to the success of the program. The students who participate have the potential to succeed, yet they face obstacles which may prevent them from ever entering college. These barriers may include weak academic skills, family responsibilities, financial constraints, or lack of career direction. These students will benefit from the guidance of a person who has been successful in his/her career and who can help them get a foothold in “the system”.
